Toast

A toast is a small message that temporarily appears over your app after something happens. For example, a toast can tell users that something was saved or that an action could not be completed.

Toast

The Toast section controls how every toast in your app looks and behaves.

There are four toast colors, one for each type of message:

  • Success
  • Error
  • Warning
  • Info

These are also ordinary theme colors, so they use the same color picker as the other colors in your theme.

They appear in the Toast section as well as in Colors, allowing you to see how they are used for toast messages.

Note

You cannot rename these colors. Toast notifications identify these colors by name, so their names must remain unchanged.

This button displays a sample toast in the live Previewer using your current settings.

Use it after changing a toast color, position, or duration to see how the notification appears in your app.

Changes made in this panel are not saved as you type.

Once you make a change, a button appears at the bottom of the panel showing Save 1 change or Save N changes.

Renaming and deleting a color are exceptions. These changes apply immediately because they also update the places where the color is used.
