🧭 Builder Overview

The preview phone, and every panel in the builder's left rail.

The builder has three parts. The chat is in the middle, the preview phone is on the right, and the left rail runs down the side.

Each rail icon opens a panel over the chat. The preview stays visible while a panel is open, so a change you make shows up beside it.

This section documents the preview, every panel, and every control inside them.

Ten icons appear, in this order:

  • Branding β€” colors, fonts and the toast style
  • Screens β€” every screen, its components, and the element editor
  • Database β€” collections, fields and endpoints
  • Settings β€” name, icon, store identifiers, team access
  • Localization β€” languages and translations
  • Integrations β€” keys for outside services, and device permissions
  • Custom Actions β€” your own API calls
  • Publish β€” native builds, the web app, and over-the-air updates
  • Deep Linking β€” open a screen straight from a link
  • Adalo Tools β€” Studio and Experts

Four panels from the classic editor are deliberately not shown here: Publish (the classic one), Analytics, Versions and X-Ray. Their routes still exist if you open them directly.

A panel opens as a drawer rather than a new page, so the builder and your chat are never unloaded. Opening a second panel replaces the first. Clicking the icon of the panel already open closes it.

Most panels remember what they loaded last time, so reopening one draws immediately and refreshes in the background. The loading skeleton appears only the first time you open a panel for an app.

Before Ada has created your app there is nothing for these panels to control, so each one shows its purpose and waits.
